Keywest initially shot to fame for busking in Galway and Dublin. They have since garnered a host of number 1 singles, three number 1 albums and won multiple awards in Ireland. They became so well known for busking that the Lord Mayor of London asked them to launch the reopening of London’s streets to buskers in Trafalgar Square.
From plying their trade on the street, they have gone on to sell out tours across Ireland, UK and mainland Europe. Keywest have donned the front cover of Hot Press, performed on The Late Late Show, rocked the main stage at festivals like Electric Picnic, Indiependence, 2FM’s Christmas Eve Ball and Galway Arts Fest. Furthermore they have supported Bryan Adams, Blondie, 30 Seconds From Mars and Bastille to name but a few.
With a mix of folk, pop and rock the five piece band bring high energy to every performance with Ireland’s largest music mag Hot Press calling them “masters at eliciting maximum crowd response” and Culturehub UK calling them “a musical force on stage…… full of confidence and swagger“.
