We’re getting excited already. We’re two months away from our favourite night of the year and would dearly love for you to join us. For those who haven’t experienced Christmas Covers before… it’s the Nottingham music scene’s funnest, silliest, most booze-soaked and most joyous evening. 8 local bands play distinctly unseasonal pop hits in the name of a deserving local charity. Expect the unexpected: your favourite throbbing psychedelic rock band might take on some Prince or your pale skinny indie friends might try their hand at AC/DC. Whether it works or not, it’s always fun. This year will feature 8 of Nottingham’s finest bands including SWIMMING, HHMYN, AUGUST ACTUALLY, GUILTY PARENTS and a couple of specially formed projects featuring members of FISTS, KOGUMAZA, GARRISON, POPPY SEED, SOUVARIS and CANTALOUPE.
THE RULES for those playing: DO NOT tell ANYONE your choices of covers. You may even wish to learn decoy covers for soundcheck purposes as others have done. You may wish to drop hints that throw others off the scent but the only person you can tell is our secret Christmas Covers Adjudicator who will make sure a) No one has already covered the songs you have chosen over the last 9 or so years b) None of the other bands at this year’s event is covering the same song.

This year we are raising money for Notts Hospice, a charity organisation who offer much needed care to Nottingham residents in the terminal stages of cancer.
Thanks to The Bodega’s generosity, every penny of your £5 entry fee goes to them.
Your money will have a direct positive effect on local lives.
Please spread the word, come along, and bring all your friends!
