Since forming in January 2019, Edinburgh indie-pop quartet swim school have supported The Xcerts on a large nationwide tour, been included in many Scottish ‘ones to watch in 2020’ accolades, and released four killer singles.
Like all great bands swim school are musical magpies, absorbing influences from across genres, time and a wide swath of artists and turning them into something that’s their own. Folding in the timelessness of The Cure or The House of Love, the rich sonic palate of Ride, Slowdive or Lush, the magnetic attraction of Wolf Alice or The Big Moon and the wonky, fragile pop of Beabadoobea and Her’s – swim school are everything a modern progressive pop band should be.

⭕ Jonny Olley ⭕
Jonny Olley is a twenty-something former bedroom-rocker turned singer-songwriter and poet. Having grown up near to Coventry, he currently writes in Nottingham. He creates a unique sound, blending his eclectic influences ranging from John Frusciante and Eric Clapton to Mike Skinner and Jamie T.

Forming in Leeds, Luca Blue are a 5 piece making luscious synth-pop. Fans of bands such as Everything Everything, HalfNoise, and Gengahr, they’ve been making waves with their distinct sound, pulling catchy riffs and groovy basslines into their engaging live shows.

⭕ JupiterMoon ⭕
JupiterMoon, a four piece indie outfit from the Midlands are disrupting the scene. Their energetic choruses and asian influenced guitar hooks are written for sweaty, intimate venues. Got It All Wrong, the bands first release is a homegrown rock anthem for a new generation and the antidote you’ve been looking for. The boys have already been championed by BBC Introducing, from the first listen it’s hard not to wonder what’s next for this band on the rise.
