Seamlessly merging the illustrious DNA of Punk, Soul, Power-Pop, Britpop and Rock n’ Roll is a simple feat for Sharp Class. Their 2022 debut album ‘Tales Of A Teenage Mind’ introduced a tight, sharp, lively band with a penchant for gritty, driven and lyrically competent power-pop songs to the world.
Recorded at ROFL Audio Studios (Elton John, Slash, Michael Buble), Electric Bear Studios (The Stranglers, Ferocious Dog) and Mastered by John Paul Braddock (The Cramps, Simple Minds, The Action), the album found its feet in the UK and Europe. Shortly after its release, it sold out on CD and vinyl, landed the band a headline spot at Splendour Festival 2023, gained airtime across the globe on the Rodney Bingenheimer show on SiriusXM (USA), Kevin Cornell show on Amazing Radio(USA), BBC Introducing (UK) and was performed live on Notts TV. The title track ‘Tales Of A Teenage Mind’ caught the attention of Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, who added it to the Green Day: Punk Bunny Radio
Having released their first album in the Winter of 2022, Sharp Class took their album international as the trio embarked on their first shows in the USA as of May 2023. Performing across Boston – Massachusetts, Providence – Rhode Island and Portland – Maine, the band went down a storm, finding new fans and creating fresh connections 4000 miles from home. Sharp Class will return to the USA in late 2024 with a new album to promote and perform.
