RAMS’ POCKET RADIO is Peter McCauley, a drummer, pianist and songwriter from Lisburn, Northern Ireland. Unfettered personal expression is the focus, and with the timeless works of the 1950’s product designer Dieter Rams in mind; purity, simplicity and longevity are the first concerns.
Live, Peter is joined by friends to create an intense live experience. During a year of its’ existence, the band has performed extensively throughout Northern Ireland playing a variety of well attended performances and performing with artists such as Mr Hudson, Iain Archer, Duke Special and Tuneyards. Early in it’s existence, the band picked up an award during the City of Lisburn Council, Music Quest competition, and was positioned in the exclusive Hotpress ‘Hot for 2010′ list in February. Rams’ pocket radio has gathered a volume of positive reviews and has recieved airplay locally and nationally, this includes two Radio 1 NI live sessions and selection for the prestigious BBC 6 Music ‘Introducing’ podcast with Tom Robinson.
