PILGRIM FATHERS…
“…this is prog at its most enjoyably visceral, least tediously art-school…” • Rock Sound Magazine
Pilgrim Fathers have been in self-imposed exile. Following the culmination of four years of mind-melting, space-rock creation, two releases on Undergroove records and an eight-week tour around Europe with Monster Magnet and Nebula, the Nottingham UK five-piece removed themselves from the front line, recruited new souls, bade farewell to old and set to toiling underground for two long, cold, hard winters crafting a new, more direct sound. Now they emerge blinking in to the light, bellies full of mead and horse-carts brimming with some mother-fucking grandiose rock tunes.
While the spirit remains the same, the sound has moved on. Twin guitars now guide the Pilgrim’s voyage through rollicking, rolling waters to a destination where critics drop anchor on comparisons with contemporaries Graveyard and Witchcraft and their heavy psychedelic 70s rock. Listen to the new recordings and seek out Pilgrim Fathers’ live show. Witness as ten hands wrestle for control over a huge teetering edifice of sound. Everything about Pilgrim Fathers will make you want to triumphantly punch the air.
New demonstration discs are recorded and ready for consumption. You with the modern conveniences of the 21st century may wish to ingest these sounds via a digital medium.

Pilgrim Fathers have turned their back on po-faced tough-guy metal and trekked off across the random landscapes of zonked-out rock’n’roll …and you know what they say about the road less travelled, right?
