TINY DANCER

Tiny Dancer – a walking, talking, singing dancing pop creation halfway between a conceptual art project and a brawl at a fancy dress party. A singer-songwriter, but not yet another winsome girl perched on a stool with an acoustic guitar. Tiny’s singing – and song-writing – is fearsomely demented, state of the art pop music.

Tiny’s perfectly balanced style and substance have provided the ideal foil for Wayne Wilkins, the multiple award-winning writer and producer behind hits for the likes of Beyonce and Cheryl Cole, who took Tiny under his wing in 2012. As evident’ fromTiny’s debut EP, ‘Who Am I?’ (released 6th May), theirs is a collaboration that seems to have brought out the best in both parties, Wilkins’ ear for a hit and studio knowhow bringing a real ready-for-radio sheen to Tiny’s extravagant, colourful pop.

Tiny Dancer may remind you of Gwen Stefani, or Marina & The Diamonds, or Kate Bush, or none of the above, or all three at the same time. But get to know this dynamic young musician a little better and there’s no question that she’s a unique talent in her own right.

PATAWAWA
PATAWAWA promo photo

Out of the quiet town of Matlock come Patawawa – a Nu-Disco trio that blends beats to pump blood, glittered guitar riffs and basslines that bite. The three-piece have crafted a sound that stays true to the neon roots of funk and disco, but dress it with a cheekyness that could only have come out of Derbyshire.

Hailed as Matlock’s hottest new export, their brand of Nu-Disco and Funk is bound to get you grooving on the dance floor. Staunch support from BBC Radio in the form of Dean Jackson and Tom Robinson has seen them rise to the list of most played bands on BBC Introducing East Midlands in 2014.

2015 will see a string of new singles, including summer pop hit, Strange, as well as their most recent collaboration with French producer Roman Kouder on Back to Life. Not ones to disappoint, Patawawa will deliver what their fans have come to expect from them, an unbeatable lineup of ebullient melody and memorable lyrics, served with a hearty helping of dirty disco-funk.
